One United States $20 Federal Reserve Note, Series 1995, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, serial E09101653A, green Treasury seal, with the Withrow and Rubin signatures, Jackson on the face and the White House on the back. It is circulated with a little body left but is not crisp: one firm fold left of the portrait, a second right of the seal, a light horizontal center fold, fine wrinkling through the upper right, light tan handling soil that is heavier at the top edge, blunted corners and a couple of small nicks in the top edge. The defect to know about is a red and pink ink or dye stain at the top right corner of the face, a clear smear at the corner tip, with a matching pink-red mark at the same corner on the back. The source of the color cannot be determined from the photographs. Plain talk: a circulated 1990s note with no star, no fancy serial and no error is worth its face value only, and a stain like this removes any collector premium and can slow acceptance at a till.
