This Manhattan Fire Arms Co. Navy-style single-action percussion revolver features a 4-inch octagonal barrel and a six-shot cylinder. The top flat is stamped MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J. PATENTED MARCH 8, 1864, with matching serial number 1946 found on all major components. Its walnut grips and brass hardware show natural age. Note - As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check. The steel exhibits a dark brown patina with moderate pitting on the cylinder. Brass hardware shows aged tarnish, and walnut grips have expected wear. Action not tested.
