The surface presents extensive layered pigment application with overlapping drips, splatters, pours, and linear passages throughout. Minor surface wear and handling marks consistent with age may be present. The canvas appears stable and display-ready, retaining its vivid coloration, substantial texture, and overall visual impact. Provenance: From a private American collection. According to family history, the work was acquired at an estate sale on Long Island around 1989 and remained stored with other artworks for many years. Documentation from the original sale is unavailable. The above provenance reflects the ownership history that accompanied the artwork at the time it was received for cataloging.
