Serial # 14860. Approx. 10 Ga conversion shotgun with a 31” barrel. The bore is poor with rust and heavy pitting. Unusual re-barrel that utilizes the original .52 RF (56-56) caliber breech mated to a shotgun barrel. Possibly used as a muzzle loading shotgun with some sort of priming charge(?). There are no markings visible on the barrel or receiver. Sling bar with saddle ring on the left side. The magazine tube in the butt is present. The metal finish on the barrel is a rusty brown patina with light pitting. The metal finish on the receiver, lock plate, lever and hammer is a gray/dark gray patina with older cleaned rust, some areas are turning brown. The walnut stock and forearm are in very good condition showing some scattered light marks scratches with finish wear. The action works fine and is tight.
