AN 1800's Victorian Army Long Service and Good Conduct (LS&GC) medal, awarded to Private A. Grey of the 64th (2nd Staffordshire) Regiment of Foot. The obverse features a trophy of arms design including ancient helmets, spears, muskets, and a cannon, centred by a shield bearing the Royal Arms without the Hanoverian escutcheon. The reverse is inscribed with the text FOR LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT. The medal is fitted with an ornate silver scroll swivel suspension bar. The edge is officially impressed with the recipient's details: 965 A. GREY, 64TH FOOT. Weight: 35.63g Diameter: approx. 36mm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The medal displays a deep, natural aged patina across both faces. The naming on the rim remains clear and well-defined. There are minor surface marks and light contact wear consistent with age and period use. The original ribbon is absent.
