Chrome Pocket Lighters

A lot comprising two vintage metal pocket lighters. The first is a rectangular butane gas lighter with a brushed chrome finish. One face is engraved with the inscription St Lawrence Stevedoring Co. Ltd. within a rectangular border, while the reverse is decorated with an engraved pattern of four-pointed stars. The base is stamped with the brand name Sabre in script and BUTANE GAS. The second item is a petrol or gas lighter of oval form with a vertically ribbed body and a top-mounted striker mechanism. The base is marked CHAMPION and AUER, and features a shield-shaped mark for CERTIFIED QUALITY CONTROLLED JAPAN. Dimensions: Sabre Lighter: approx. W 3.8 cm x H 3.6 cm Champion Lighter: approx. W 4.4 cm x H 4.8 cm Measured against a tape measure. Condition: Both lighters exhibit wear consistent with age, including surface scratches, pitting to the chrome plating, and minor oxidation to the striker mechanisms. The inscriptions and manufacturer marks remain legible.
