A pair of mid-20th-century decorative wall plaques manufactured by Peerage. Each plaque is constructed from an embossed brass sheet featuring a repoussé-style design with text and imagery. One plaque depicts a traditional thatched cottage exterior with a garden and the first half of the Bless This House poem. The second plaque depicts a domestic interior scene with two figures and a dog seated by a fireplace, accompanied by the remaining verses of the poem. The images and text are framed by matching decorative borders of stylized leaves and flowers, with the title BLESS THIS HOUSE embossed at the top. Each brass sheet is mounted onto a textured composite backboard fitted with a metal hanging ring. The reverse of one plaque retains an original paper label with the Peerage crown logo and a copyright attribution to Boosey & Hawkes Ltd. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): H 26.5 cm x W 19 cm. Condition: The plaques are in good vintage condition with a natural aged patina and darkening in the recessed areas. There are minor surface marks and occasional small spots of oxidation, including a small area of finish loss in the upper right corner of the interior scene plaque. The backboards and hanging rings are secure.
