A vintage Ronson pocket cigarette lighter manufactured by Dominion Art Metal Wks, Ltd in Toronto, Canada. The exterior is finished in a silver-toned metal featuring engine-turned vertical pinstripe decoration and a rectangular cartouche engraved with the initials H A C. The lift-arm snuffer mechanism is embossed with the Ronson trade name. The base of the lighter is stamped with the manufacturer details and Canadian patent numbers 238,143 and 239,889. The underside includes two screws for maintenance, with one marked FUEL and LIGHT HERE. Height approx. 4.5 cm (measured against a tape measure). Condition: The lighter exhibits signs of significant age and use, including widespread surface scratching and rubbing to the silver-toned finish. Oxidation and carbon buildup are visible around the burner assembly and the ignition arm. The mechanism has not been tested for functionality.
