A single circular powder compact by Dorset Fifth Avenue. The piece is constructed from gold-tone metal with a scalloped edge. The lid features a speckled cream-coloured ground decorated with a large, raised, polished gold-tone stylised monogram B. The reverse shows an engine-turned pattern of concentric circles. The interior contains a mirrored lid and a peach-coloured fabric powder puff with a ribbon handle printed Dorset Fifth Avenue in a Gothic-style font. The compact is fitted with a push-button thumbpiece clasp and a rear hinge. Diameter approx. 6.9 cm. Condition: The item is in vintage condition with visible wear throughout. The lid shows significant loss and pitting to the speckled finish, revealing the base metal. The gold-tone metal surfaces exhibit tarnishing, fine surface scratches, and small spots of oxidation. The interior mirror is intact, and the powder puff shows age-related wear.
