One vintage vinyl fashion doll collection by Mattel, dating from the mid to late 1960s. The lot features three rooted hair dolls, including a Casey fashion doll and two Skipper dolls. The Casey doll, approximately 28.5 cm in height, features blonde rooted synthetic hair styled in pigtails with colourful bead ties and translucent purple sunglasses. She possesses blue painted side-glancing eyes and is dressed in a pink and orange floral print mini dress with a pearl-style necklace. The body is incised on the lower back: © 1967 / MATTEL, INC. / U.S. & FOREIGN / PATS. PEND / MEXICO. The collection includes two smaller dolls, both approximately 23.5 cm in height, with markings on the lower back reading: SKIPPER / © 1963 / MATTEL, INC., with one featuring an additional incised 3. One doll has blonde rooted hair and wears a red and white striped swimsuit with a floral lace cap. The second doll features auburn rooted hair and wears a red and white striped shirt over white shorts with matching striped cuffs. All dolls have painted facial features and blue eyes. The set is housed in a white vinyl Francie and Casey doll case, featuring psychedelic 1960s graphic illustrations on the front. The case is marked © 1967 Mattel, Inc. and MADE IN CANADA. The interior contains a hanging rod and a cardboard storage drawer. Additional accessories include a white lace dress with silver metallic thread accents, a pink, white, and yellow striped knit sweater, two doll stands (one clear plastic star-shaped base and one metal wire frame), and white plastic hangers. Dimensions (measured from visible scale): Large doll H approx. 28.5 cm; Smaller dolls H approx. 23.5 cm; Case H approx. 32 cm. Condition: The collection is in played-with vintage condition. The rooted hair on the two smaller Skipper dolls is matted and requires restyling. There is minor fraying and loose threads visible on the clothing items. The vinyl carrying case shows age-related wear, surface marks, and some minor discolouration. The clear plastic doll stand shows some dark spotting and debris. The vinyl bodies show light surface soiling consistent with age.
