A cased set of tea or fruit knives manufactured by Mappin & Webb. Each knife features a silver-plated blade and a decorative ferrule with a chased floral and scroll design. The handles are constructed from a light blue and white marbled synthetic material. Each blade is stamped with the maker mark MAPPIN & WEBB. The set is presented in its original fitted case with a blue velvet interior and a white silk lid lining. The interior silk is printed in black ink with the royal warrant to King George V, above the text MAPPIN & WEBB LTD, MONTREAL, PARIS & LONDON. Length approx. 14.6 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The set is in fair condition. The silver-plated blades exhibit significant tarnish and areas of iridescent surface oxidation. Surface scratches and wear from use are visible on the metal components. The fitted case shows minor age-related wear to the exterior and light staining to the interior silk lining.
