Copper toned cast metal cowboy boot made as a small vase, planter, or desk caddy. Roughly 7 and a half inches tall and about 7 inches from heel to toe, with real weight in the hand. The shaft is decorated on both sides with a deeply detailed tooled leather pattern of scrolling leaves and flowers, just like the stamping on a real western boot. There is a buckled strap band across the instep, a floral rosette at the side, a pointed toe with a stitched welt edge along the sole, and a spur at the heel that pivots. The top is open and hollow all the way down, so it will hold flowers, pens, brushes, or dried arrangements. The underside has tan felt pads on the sole and heel to protect furniture. No maker's mark or foundry stamp was visible in any of the photos. Condition is good. The copper finish is bright with light surface scratches and handling marks, and the inside of the boot shows dark oxidation and some green patina, which is normal on copper toned metal of this age. Estimated Value: $20 to $40 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
