A pair of ornate sterling silver spoons featuring pierced heart-shaped bowls decorated with scrolling foliate and shell motifs. The handles are embellished with high-relief repousse floral designs. The reverse of the handles is marked STERLING alongside an indistinct device and the initials AMW impressed within a small rectangular cartouche on one spoon. May be an original and a replacement. Length: 5.25 inches. Weight: 2.370 OZT. Expected light tarnish is visible in the recessed areas (photo 1). A minor upward bend is present at the tip of one heart bowl (photo 7). Light surface abrasions are consistent with age and use.
