A Gorham sterling silver bon bon scoop in a Rococo-style featuring an elaborately pierced bowl with a central lyre motif. The handle displays a classical mask above trailing roses and scrolled details. The reverse is stamped with a lion passant, an anchor, and a stylized Old English letter G alongside STERLING and the number 865. This server measures 7 inches long and weighs 3.145 OZT. The server exhibits light tarnish appropriate for its age. Minor surface micro-scratches and slight wear to the gold wash in the bowl are visible (photo 3). The delicate pierced openwork remains intact without visible breaks or repairs (photo 4).
