A pair of sterling silver nut spoons in the Gorham Manufacturing Company's Buttercup pattern, featuring ornate floral repousse handles and pierced scalloped bowls. The reverse of the handles bears a trademark lion, anchor, and G mark alongside the sterling designation. One spoon is monogrammed. Both spoons measure 4.6 inches in length with a combined weight of 1.055 OZT. Both spoons exhibit a characteristic aged patina with expected tarnish within the recesses of the floral motifs and pierced fretwork (photos 1 and 4). Fine surface scratches and minor pitting are visible from regular use (photo 5).
