This early 20th century commercial-pattern field glass was manufactured in Germany for export or civil use. The binoculars feature a 6x magnification, indicated by the stamped "6X" on the top power dial of the center bridge mechanism. The lower bridge disk is etched "GERMANY" denoting export identification, and the center pivot arm bears the serial number "18725." The unmarked cover plates suggest an early commercial or private-label production typical of the era. The binoculars measure 4.25 inches high by 6 inches wide (10.8 cm H x 15.2 cm W) and weigh 567 grams (1 lb 4.0 oz). These binoculars are complete with a textured body covering, portions of which show lifting. The central focusing wheel operates smoothly, though the hinge is stiff and the right diopter ring is nearly frozen. There is physical wear, including paint loss along metal edges. Major internal dust spotting and slight hazing are present, impacting optical clarity.
