A striking group of seven period black-and-white postcards from the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, capturing the scale, ceremony, and spectacle surrounding the event. Scenes include the German team entering the stadium during the opening ceremony, mass stadium formations, an aerial view of the Olympic Village near Berlin, and a performance of "Der Einzug des Herakles" at the Dietrich-Eckart-Bühne. Several cards are identified as official Olympic postcards published by Reichssportverlag, BerlinSW 68, with Olympic rings, “Echte Fotografie” markings, and original 15 Pf. pricing. Dimensions: Each measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. Condition: Light age-related wear and toning; one card has adhesive/paper residue on the reverse.
