Hunalex Paris Extra Lumineuse Binoculars

Updated August 27, 2026

Manufactured in France, this vintage "Hunalex" center-focus binocular features upper prism cover plate stampings reading "HUNALEX PARIS" on the left cover and "EXTRA LUMINEUSE" on the right cover. A "Made in France" marking is stamped on the inner bridge arm. The binoculars measure 4.5 inches high by 6 inches wide (11.4 cm H x 15.2 cm W) and weigh 507 grams (1 lb 1.9 oz). Constructed with metal frame elements, a central focusing mechanism, and smooth individual diopter adjustment, the unit maintains smooth central hinge pivot action, a smooth central focus wheel, and smooth right diopter focus control. Optical glass condition is clear across both channels, providing clear overall viewing performance with no functional defects. All metal frame finishes remain in unrestored factory condition, while the textured body coverings have been removed and painted over, leaving slight remnants of the underlying texture visible on the barrels.
