This is a German metal first aid cabinet, labeled "Verbandsschrank" on the front, which translates to "first aid cabinet." Weighing 3,766 grams (8.3 lbs) and measuring 18 in H x 14.25 in W x 5.25 in D (45.7 cm H x 36.2 cm W x 13.3 cm D), the sheet-metal cabinet features a hinged front door, dual side latches, and integrated rear triangular hanging brackets. The front door is stenciled in Blackletter script with the title "Verbandschrank". The interior features multi-tiered compartmentalized shelving and retains its original paper contents packing list (Inhalt-Verzeichnis) affixed to the inside of the door. The inventory sheet lists medical supplies including gauze bandages (Mullbinden), splints (Cramerschienen), tourniquets (Arterienabbinder), scissors, and antiseptic drops. Displays field and age wear with heavy paint flaking, surface oxidation, and rust spotting throughout the exterior off-white paint. The interior remains relatively clean with original cream paint. The paper inventory label is intact with mild age toning, foxing, and minor staining.
