This is an original Soviet Navy enlisted sailor’s black beskozy`rka (beskozyrka) service cap from 1987, manufactured for the USSR Northern Fleet (Severnyy Flot). The cap features a circular flat crown with intact white piping and a prominent late Soviet cockade composed of a red star with a hammer-and-sickle emblem surrounded by a metallic wreath. The front bears a black naval tally ribbon with gold Cyrillic lettering "SEVERNY`J FLOT," identifying its association with the Northern Fleet, and the cap has long black ribbon tails at the rear, each embroidered with a gold anchor motif. Inside, the cap is lined in black cloth, fitted with a sweatband, and has a diamond-shaped Moscow manufacturer's label. The label is marked “MOSKVA” and dated “87,” corresponding to 1987 manufacture at the Moscow “Zarnicza” headwear factory. The item exhibits minor age and service wear, some surface dust, handling marks, and scattered lint. All original features are present and legible.
