Produced during the early 20th century, this French 8x20 center-focus field glass was manufactured by Colmont in Paris. Stamped plate markings on the upper prism covers read "COLMONT" on the left side and "PARIS" on the right side, with the inner bridge hinge stamped "4 102". The binoculars measure 4.5 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (11.4 cm H x 16.5 cm W) and weigh 510 grams (1 lb 2 oz). Constructed with a metal frame and textured body coverings, the set maintains smooth central hinge pivot action, a smooth central focus wheel, and a smooth right diopter focus ring. Viewing through the optics remains clear, though major internal dust spotting is present across both channels. All components, including the frame, end caps, and textured body wrap, have been fully repainted.
