E. Leitz Wetzlar 8x L14 binoculars, crafted in Wetzlar, Germany, and featuring distinctive left prism plate stampings including "A. TRAEGER" and the "E. LEITZ / WETZLAR" framed logo. The right plate shows "8 x L14 / 115 = 6.6°." The binoculars are constructed with a metal body and vulcanite covering, measuring 5 inches high by 6.25 inches wide (12.7 cm H x 15.9 cm W) and weigh 746 grams (1 lb 10.3 oz). They retain a smooth central hinge, focus wheel, and diopter adjustment. Optical condition is clear on the left side but blurry on the right. The body shows peeling and past repairs to the covering. Accompanied by the original brown leather case measuring 6 inches high by 7 inches wide (15.2 cm H x 17.8 cm W), the case includes an embedded compass in the top lid, side D-rings, and hardware for a missing shoulder strap; the front latch strap is broken and the leather is weathered.
