Produced by C.P. Goerz in Berlin, Germany, this early 20th-century 12x "Neu-Triëder" center-focus binocular features upper prism cover plate stampings displaying the triangular "C.P. GOERZ BERLIN" logo on the left cover and "12x NEU-TRIËDER D.R.P." on the right cover. The binoculars measure 5 inches high by 6 inches wide (12.7 cm H x 15.2 cm W) and weigh 565 grams (1 lb 3.9 oz). Constructed with metal frame elements, a central focusing wheel, and textured body coverings, the unit maintains smooth central hinge pivot action, a smooth central focus wheel, and smooth right diopter focus adjustment. Optical glass condition is clear across both channels, offering clean viewing performance with no functional defects. All finishes with the exception of mild paint touch up on the frame are factory original, exhibiting very light cosmetic surface wear consistent with careful use and age.
