This Asahi Pentax Spotmatic camera (S/N 2348808) , came early in a production run that lasted nearly 10 years. The Spotmatic, was one of the best selling 35mm SLR cameras during its time of production, and is one of the most popular vintage cameras on the market today. This copy is exceptionally clean and appears to be in good working order. Without having been tested, the shutter appears to operate at all settings with expected results, even in the slower speeds. The lens, a 50mm, f1.4 Super-Takumar (S/N 2450896), is the 7 element version, and the glass is clear and without scratches. There is no visible dust. or fungus inside the barrel. All of the controls operate as expected, with no dials or levers feeling sticky, or sluggish. The focus ring and the aperture ring, on the lens, turn smoothly. This camera comes with an original Takumar 28mm kens hood, but it fits the 50mm aspect perfectly. There is also a set of extension tubes included. The tubes are clean and without any visible defects. The camera also comes with an original leather Pentax case, sporting a Pentax badge. The leather is supple and the strap is strong. DPG
