Produced during World War II by E. Leitz in Wetzlar, Germany, under manufacturer ordnance code "ddv", this Z.F. 41 (Zielfernrohr 41) 1.5x rifle scope displays body tube stampings reading serial number "1955", code "ddv", cold-weather lubricant indicator triangle symbol "D", and model designation "Z.F.41". The scope is fitted with an original metal sunshade extension and mounted in a dual-ring roller-cam side rail mount. The optic measures 6.75 inches long (17.1 cm) with a body tube diameter of0.75 inches (1.9 cm) and weighs 372 grams (13.1 oz) with the mount attached. Constructed with blued steel housing components, a front range-adjustment collar, and a quick-release roller mount assembly, the scope maintains smooth mechanical function across its range controls. Optical glass condition is clear, displaying the characteristic narrow field-of-view image picture with a clear reticle post visible. All blued metal finishes are unrestored and factory original, exhibiting age-appropriate surface wear, light freckling, and edge rubbing.
