This is a WWII-era German military Verbandkasten first aid box, constructed from dark-painted steel and prominently labeled "Verbandkasten" above a red cross within a white circle on the lid. The box is equipped with dual front latches and a full-length rear hinge, and features a fitted interior with wooden dividers. Inside the lid, an original German-language contents list and first aid instruction sheet, dated 1940, is affixed, bearing an eagle inspection stamp marked “Wa.A 379.” The interior contains a substantial assortment of its original 1940-period medical supplies, including four wrapped “6 Mullbinden” packages, gauze rolls, an amber glass medical bottle, various medical dressings, a boxed “Brandbinde” burn dressingby Dr. Degen & Kuth, and a 100 g box of chemically pure “Verband-Watte, Qualität Z 100” from Deutsches Rotes Kreuz. Contents are not fully complete to the printed inventory but are sold as found. The steel case and packaging show wear, scratches, oxidation, and toning consistent with WWII service use and age.
