This light blue cloth album features a gold flower motif on the cover and includes 139 original photographs documenting the experience of a Third Reich infantryman from the period 1933-1945. The imagery spans enlistment and training through to medical recovery, with rare photographic evidence of specialized motorcycle fire-ring training stunts and scenes of destroyed Soviet tanks. The album further contains detailed documentation of convalescent life in a military Lazarett, including a photograph of a medical chart and group images of patients and medical staff. Family portraits and informal group shots add to the narrative. The album exhibits minor cover soiling and edge wear, reflecting age and handling.
