This lot consists of two original WWII German military gas cape pouches (Gasplanentaschen) constructed from grey-green linen canvas. Designed to carry folded chemical protective sheets (Gasplane) attached to gas mask harness straps, the flat envelope-style pouches feature fold-over top flaps with dual press-snap closures and rear horizontal web loops. The larger pouch measures 10 inches high by 8 inches wide and features steel press snaps showing heavy rust and surrounding canvas rust bleed; itsflap interior retains a boxed manufacturer logo stamp and hand-applied red ink numbers "2411" and "9". The second pouch measures 9 inches high by 8 inches wide and features brass snap hardware marked "S.H.B." alongside an interior blue circular inkstamp reading "9b". Both pouches remain structurally intact with minor handling wear, light age staining, and storage creasing.
