This World War II German gas mask filter bag is constructed from heavy olive-green linen canvas. Measuring 8 inches high by 5 inches wide, the pouch features internal folding side flaps and a top closure flap secured by two reddish-brown pressed-paper buttons on the lower front body. The reverse is fitted with two wide canvas belt loops for field gear attachment. The underside of the interior top flap is stamped in dark ink with manufacturer and date code 11a / 44, indicating production in 1944. The canvas remains pliable, showing minor handling marks, fold creasing, and faint spots of age discoloration. All stitching and pressed fiber buttons remain intact.
