Dating to the late 19th century, this German commemorative medal is struck in bronze and honors Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke. The obverse features a left-facing high-relief bust portrait inscribed "GENERALFELDMARSCHALL GRAF VON MOLTKE" along thebeaded rim, signed "W. KULLRICH" near the truncation. The reverse depicts an eagle perched atop a plinth with a crown above, surrounded by the German legend "GROSSE RAGSE ZU DEM JAHRHUNDERT EINS UND VORAN VON FREUND UND FEIND" with a field of military trophies displayed at the base. Light, natural age wear appears throughout, including soft surface oxidation, minor handling marks, and faint edge nicks. High-relief details, lettering, and warm bronze patina remain well-preserved. Measures 2.9 inches in diameter. A finely detailed 19th-century German commemorative medal offering strong historical appeal for military numismatic collectors and Imperial German displays.
