This West German military hard-shell case is constructed from dark brown pebbled leatherette (Presstoff) over a rigid protective frame. Measuring 12.75 inches long by 4.75 inches high, the case features reinforced aluminum corner fittings, dual leather closure straps with aluminum slide latches, and an internal layout designed to house field equipment. The interior cardboard lining is stamped in blue ink with inspector markings dated "10. 1. 63" (October 1, 1963) alongside the West German NATO stock number "Satz 12-127-0397". The stock code identifies it as a specialized tool kit or instrument set (Satz) holder for the Bundeswehr, engineered to protect delicate armorer tools, optical gauges, or vehicle testing instruments during field transport. Built using materials and hardware patterns directly evolved from late-WWII German manufacturing, the case shows minor surface scuffing, edge rub wear, and light patina on the aluminum fittings.
