This color lithograph commemorates military service dedicated to Josef Birzer in the 5th Battery of the 6th Royal Bavarian Field Artillery Regiment in Fürth ("5. Battr. Kgl. Bayer. 6. Feld-Art. Regt. Fürth.") from 1908 to 1910. Published by J. Pelzer in Berlin ("Verlag v. J. Pelzer, Berlin, N."). The central scene depicts artillery soldiers in full uniform positioned alongside field guns, cannons, and military equipment. The upper border features oval portraits of Imperial German monarchs andregional rulers, flanked by state flags and heraldic crests. Ribbons bear patriotic slogans including "Es lebe hoch das Regiment" ("Long live the regiment"), "Mit Gott für König und Vaterland" ("With God for King and Fatherland"), and "Einigkeit macht stark" ("Unity creates strength"). The lower margin displays the motto "Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit" ("In memory of my service time") flanked by small vignettes of military training and barracks life. The paper exhibits minor edge wear andlight age toning throughout the outer margins.
