Featuring the early Carl Zeiss Jena logo and marked U.F. (Unteroffizier-Fernrohr), these 1903-pattern service binoculars bear serial number 57268 on the low bridge and have original unit markings on the bridge. Measuring approximately 10.2 cm H x 14.0 cm W (4.0" H x 5.5" W) and weighing 499 g (1 lb 1.6 oz), the optics remain clear and defect-free. The right diopter is stiff due to original lubricants, while the left diopter spins freely but requires mechanical re-engagement. The original textured covering is intact, showing authentic silvering from field use. Accompanied by a black Oigee-branded leather case measuring 13.3 cm H x 17.8 cm W (5.25" H x 7.0" W), with a functional spring-latch and fine hardware. These binoculars served as a standard optical instrument for Imperial German non-commissioned officers during the First World War. PM/OT
