This reproduction cap is constructed of tan cotton twill with a bright red felt upper band, and is made in the style of WWII German SA (Sturmabteilung) kepis. Featuring gold-tone braid trim bordering the red band, a metallic gold front lace band above a pebbled center button, a gold-tone metal national eagle pin attached to the front red felt panel, and a dark brown leather chinstrap with plastic/metal hardware attached via side snaps. The interior reveals a black satin-like lining bordered by asmooth tan vinyl sweatband. Exhibits light handling and storage wear throughout, including minor dust accumulation and light creasing to the cotton visor. Metal badge, button, chinstrap, and interior seams remain intact and structurally firm with no tears or moth damage noted. Measures approximately size 57–58 cm interior circumference, or modern size 7 1/4" size US. Offering an attractive presentation with vibrant red felt trim and detailed insignia, this replica kepi serves as an effective display or filler item for militaria collections and uniform displays.
