ca. Dated 1822; Dyed cottons and wool stitch on non-bleached homespun linen towel simplistic line-form sampler with nine lines of various style letters and numbers with six "sample line" embroidery. The sampler has a blue cross-stitch line and dart border, in a complex walnut molded frame; frame 13 3/8" x 17 1/4"; Condition: Stitch mounted to brown paper backing with hardboard backboard. Maker's information unknown and unattributed. Some minor stitch loss noted.
