ca. 1830-1850's; Attributed to Philadelphia Filley Tinshop, fine hand painted tinware tankard with a tapered top retaining original asphalthum-lacquered ground and fine hand painted large size pomegranate or peony flower design with green/yellow fronds with peony flower tips with fine accents. The tankard is rolled tin sheet and solder construction with wire rolled rim and mounted strap handle; 4 1/4" dia. X 5 1/4" x 5 3/4"H; Condition: Very good, original surface with minimal noted flaking of paints. Retains approx. 90%-95% original surface.
