ca. 1830's; Attributed to Connecticut shop of Oliver Filley. Lighthouse shaped side handle coffeepot with pointed dunce cap lid and angle spout. The pot has a red painted ground, single panel hand painted design of one ball fruit and ball flower with three leaf design with the lid and around spout has yellow brushstroke accents. The pot is rolled tin sheet and solder constructed with applied wire braced strap handle, angle mounted spout and trowel-shaped mounted hinge brace lid; 6"dia. with 3" spout and 2" handle x 12" H; [Provenance: labeled "Collection of Mr. & Mrs. John B. Schorsch"]; Condition: Painted surfaces original, but paint wear and loss noted. Retains approx. 75%-80% original surface. Lid is missing finial
