ca. 1820-1850; Attributed to southeastern PA, painted toleware domed lid coffee pot is lighthouse shaped with flanged foot and gooseneck spout. The pot retains the original red ground paint with matching hand painted palmetto-leaf and floral designs in gray and black tones with yellow brush stroke accents. The pot is rolled tin sheet and solder construction with brass knob on hinged domed lid. The pot has a wired and half tube braced mounted handle and the lid hinged on a spear-tip wrapped wire; 6 3/8" dia. X 9 1/4" x 10 7/8"; Condition: Original surface, paint wear and some flaking of paints. Approx. 75-80% original surface intact. Interior has excellent patina. Note- possible old addition of secondary tin bottom added with black paint added for unknown reason. The interior shows no holes.
