ca. 1870; Salt glazed cylindrical stoneware crock, brushed cobalt design of two spitting tulips on a stem, cobalt daubs on applied pair of crescent lug terminals; impressed " Cowden & Wilcox / Harrisburg / 3 ", flattened tooled rim, incised shoulder ring, Albany slip glaze interior; 9 5/8" high, about 11 1/8" diam; Condition: 1/2" and smaller rim chips, minor flaking on right lug edge, 5" mid section spider by left lug.
