ca. 1870; Salt glazed slightly bulbous stoneware jug, brushed cobalt spitting tulip design, daubs on handle terminals, impressed "Cowden & Wilcox / Harrisburg, PA / 2", flattened slanted rim, Albany slip glaze interior; 12 3/8" high, 9 1/2" diam; Condition: 1/2" and smaller rim flakes, two ulcer marks on shoulder and base, some fry on cobalt.
