ca. 1880; Salt glazed cylindrical stoneware crock, brushed cobalt design of horizontal bars, wavy lines, oscillating feathered band and "6", daubs on applied lug terminals, Albany slip glaze interior, southwestern PA type, perhaps from James Hamilton pottery, flattened rounded rim, tooled everted neck; 16 3/4" high, 11 1/4" diam; Condition: 8" spider on lower section and network of foot lines, some discoloration spots.
