ca. 1900; Mahogany two-door counter top display cabinet for "Country" or "General" store. The "Dye-o-La Dye Co." was a product of the "Johnson-Richardson Company, Burlington, VT." The typical upright mahogany store cabinet has front and rear hinged trade panel doors, pigeon-hole interior containing "new-old" product in white envelopes. The cabinet has extending half-round molded foot and top, front door with radiator-gray painted ground with three color lithoprinted "Dy-O-La Dyes. One dye for All Goods". The rear door is press and printed plywood that reads, "We Sell Dy-O-La for Coloring at Home". The rear door is black lettered with green wash textbox, each door with a brass knob pull.; 13 3/4" x18 3/8" x 17"; Condition: Each door panel is original with instructional sheet on reverse in two-color print. The product is not-guaranteed for use, "as found" condition. One large crack to one lower corner of base. Dry-in cracks to bottom.
