ca. 18th-19th century; Attributed to mid-Atlantic states, each basket is coiled rye-straw with hickory splint binding or lashing: Fine, 19th century round table basket with extremely tight bound coiled rye straw, twelve coil flat bottom and eleven coil flared side with rim coil tightly lashed, 10 3/4" dia. X 3 1/2", Condition: minor hickory splint loss to rim coil; appears to have been cabinet kept with little wear from use. 18th or early 19th century utility gathering basket with coarsely worked coils, non-uniform hickory splint bindings, retaining a single open-loop handle on simple lashed binding and old patina from use, 12 1/2" - 16" dia. X 5"H, Condition: One handle missing, extensive warped form from use; some binding loss near coil; "as is"
