From the Denver Mint comes this 1922-D Silver Peace Dollar, an early issue from one of America's most celebrated silver dollar series. Composed of 90% silver, the coin contains .7734 troy ounces of pure silver and features Anthony de Francisci's iconic design, with a radiant Liberty on the obverse and a resting bald eagle holding an olive branch on the reverse. Introduced in 1921 to symbolize peace following World War I, the Peace Dollar became the final silver dollar series struck for circulation in the United States. The 1922-D issue offers collectors a historic piece of the series with strong numismatic and silver appeal.
