The 1922-S Silver Peace Dollar is a classic example of America’s iconic Peace Dollar series. Struck at the San Francisco Mint and composed of 90% silver, this coin contains .7734 troy ounces of pure silver. The obverse features the striking profile of Liberty, while the reverse displays a majestic bald eagle at rest, symbolizing the hope for peace following World War I. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the Peace Dollar series was first introduced in 1921 to commemorate the restoration of peace after the Great War. The 1922-S issue remains a popular collectible among both silver enthusiasts and numismatic collectors.
