A true piece of early 20th-century American coinage, this 1922-D Silver Peace Dollar was struck at the Denver Mint during the second full year of the Peace Dollar series. Composed of 90% silver, it contains .7734 troy ounces of pure silver and features Anthony de Francisci's celebrated design. Created to represent peace following World War I, the Peace Dollar features a radiant Liberty on the obverse and a resting bald eagle with an olive branch on the reverse. The 1922-D issue remains a popular choice for collectors seeking an early Denver Mint example of this historic silver dollar series.
