Vintage Japanese-style porcelain vase featuring a rich cobalt blue glaze with an elaborate peacock and floral motif. The design depicts multiple peacocks surrounded by large blooming flowers and foliage, embellished with extensive metallic gold detailing and colorful coral, turquoise, green, and pale blue accents. Comparable vintage Japanese porcelain pieces are commonly described with this same cobalt, gilt peacock, and floral decoration. The vase has a rounded, bulbous form with a short neck and gold-trimmed rim. The highly reflective glaze and densely detailed decoration make this an especially striking display piece. No maker's mark is visible in the provided photos, so the exact manufacturer and age are unknown. Measures approximately 8" tall. Appears to be in very good vintage condition with some age-related wear to the gold trim and decoration. See photos for details.
