Collection of four blackware pottery pieces featuring contrasting polished and matte finishes with hand-decorated geometric motifs. The group includes a rounded jar/vessel, shallow bowl, miniature pot, and a sculptural bird-form dish. The combination of glossy black surfaces with matte black decoration is characteristic of Southwestern black-on-black pottery traditions. The largest vessel measures approximately 3.85" tall x 5" wide and features a broad rounded body with abstract geometric decoration around the upper portion. The shallow bowl has a radiating geometric design around its interior, while the miniature vessel features a simple scalloped band. The fourth piece is formed as a stylized bird with an elongated tail and recessed bowl-shaped center. Various surface scratches, scuffs and signs of age/use are present. See photos for details.
