A mid-century modern style gentleman's chest or compact armoire, constructed as a single unit. The piece is finished in a dark oak-effect laminate over a composite core. The upper cupboard features a pair of doors with decorative pierced lattice panels in a lozenge motif, mounted on continuous piano hinges. The interior is fitted with two shelves and a single internal drawer. The lower section comprises two full-width exterior drawers. The unit is fitted with darkened metal hardware, including vertical pendant-style handles on the doors and horizontal bale-style pulls with decorative spindles on the drawers, all resting on a plinth base. Condition: The item shows visible signs of wear and scuffing to the laminate finish, particularly along the edges and corners, consistent with age and domestic use.
