A lot consisting of one stained wood hall bench and one coordinating armchair. The hall bench features a spindle-back design incorporating thirteen turned spindles between a top rail and seat frame, with shaped armrests on turned supports. The seat is padded and upholstered in a gold-coloured damask fabric featuring a scrolling foliate pattern. The lower section contains a solid wood storage shelf, and the piece is raised on four turned legs. The Victorian style armchair features a carved top rail with a central handle aperture and scrollwork motifs above a pierced central splat and two turned spindles. The padded seat is upholstered in a floral tapestry-style fabric depicting roses and mixed blooms, supported by turned legs joined by turned stretchers. Condition: The bench displays age-related surface wear including scuffs and nicks to the dark finish, with dust accumulation present on the lower shelf and turned details. Upholstery is intact. The armchair shows surface wear, minor nicks, and fading to the finish consistent with use. Both pieces appear structurally sound with no visible repairs.
